These are superb homes designed to environmentally friendly. These green home don’t look strange infact they are “home sweet homes”.

The dome home is in north branch, mn.50 acre wooded lot. The bear creek dome of the home is based on the 1950s geodesic dome and the diameter of the dome is 49 foot. There is cupola for ventilation on the top and its height is 33 feet. The spherical design provides the strength as all points share the stress equally. It can defy earthquakes, high winds and several tons of snow. 60% less structural material is used in the dome’s shape as compared to traditional box home, its natural and chemical free. No walls are made to support the dome but it is self supporting dome and there is a large inner space. The windows of the green home are triple paned and ¼ tempered glass. The thickness of domes is 18 inches in which 16 inches are of insulation. And the temperature of the home is same at any point. Out side the home heat rises but in a dome hot air rises while cold air is dropped so the flow of air is natural. Heat radiation from the center fireplace is even.
Solar Dream Home
Solar dream home is near Lake Tahoe in Gardnerville, Nevada. It’s a 3,400 square foot. Its possession is to bear hot desert sun. The downstairs apace is open plan, combined the kitchen, dinning room and living room.
Down Under Steel House
Down under steel house is down under in Auckland, New Zealand. The house was built in 2006. It is a modern house skinned with recycled steel. Steel is used because to protect it from the salty sea air and the carbon footprint is super tiny. It is a double story house having two beds and two baths. It has double paned window, eco-efficient windows extend from top to the floor which saves energy and its double pains saves the passive heat. The floor of the house is made up of thick concrete and its also solar passive. So, the house gives warmth in winter and is cool in summer. Wool is easily available in the locale, and for the purpose of insulation recycled wool is used. Kitchen is furnished with efficient energy and water appliances.
Tiny Apartment Transforms
The tiny apartment transforms is squeezed into an over-crowded Hong Kong. In Hong Kong space is a luxury, this ultra hip 330 square foot apartment features a futuristic sliding wall system that creates up to 24 different room combination. The combination also include guest bedroom, kitchen, and linen closet. The architect through this apartment told us how to cope with a tight space and making it Eco-friendly. Every inch of space has been full utilized. The house is always sunny even during cloudy weather due to three floors to ceiling tinted windows. And rarely there is a need to turn on the lights. Mirrors used in the house hide the tracks and illusion of space. And due to reflective surfaces utilizes the light in the apartment very Eco-friendly. This house is a technological marvel.
Blacksmith Shop to Eco Home
Blacksmith shop to Eco home is in Toronto, Canada. Formerly it was an 800 square foot blacksmith shop which turned into Eco-friendly house. The architect kept metal panels on the exterior of the house. To make the paint, black matte finish is a plywood mahogany linseed oil mixed with dish soap. Four feet is added to the building on the second flood. There is also a courtyard on the second floor. Inside of the house there are clean lines of unstained cedar. The terrace is about 22 feet up. Green roof retains the storm water, cools the roof and environment around it. All the recycled material is used in the house.
