Christmas can be called the best day of planet. As it’s a common perception that Christmas is a day of happiness. People celebrate this day with their loved ones. It’s generally a day of joy. But have you ever thought about the turn of this joyous day into a bad one.
1.Lost at Sea – Christmas 1914
With a load of coal, S.S. Therese Heymann started the journey from Britain. It was a Christmas day. After this journey, Heymann was never seen again. It was supposed that like several ships, this ship has also got sunk in the sea. Even the bodies and the ruins of ships were not found.
2.No Games Allowed – Christmas 1621
This time the Christmas was a Holy day. William Bradford had forbidden the games on this Christmas. Bradford was hoping that, on this Christmas, the city will be shining with the religious freedom. And the bad thing was that no game was allowed to be played on that day.

It was the Christmas evening on Dec 24, when the most horrible disaster came by the Ruapehu volcano. Nearly 155 people were killed. There was a collapse of volcanic wastes and the ice. This Christmas was ruined because of a cyclone. Nearly whole city was destroyed. More then 20,000 people became homeless. All the Christmas gifts were lost in this disaster. But nobody was weeping over the lost gifts.

It was a bad day for the president of Romania because he was kicked out of the office by a military coup. It was so insulting for him. The people, who had fired the president, were so keen to their jobs. They did not wait for the president to be tied up.

Lascaris was born on Dec. 25, 1250. From the very beginning every thing was well for him. He became the emperor after his father’s death. But the bad time started when Michael Palaiologos declared himself to be the co emperor. But he did not help Lascaris and left him behind. And declared him blind on his birthday, which was Christmas day. This Christmas was so bad for him.
8.A Christmas Surprise – Christmas 1776
This Christmas day bought a revolutionary change in America. Who ever have studied the American history knows about this incident. The Hessian soldiers had beaten at the Battle of Trenton. This attack was like a surprise on a Christmas day. The attack converted the happy day into a war day.
9.Deadly Christmas – Christmas 1941
This Christmas was so worse for the Canadian Army. They had to surrender in the battle on a Christmas day. So many people were killed in this battle and the survivors were kept in the Japanese camps.
